“Each year the Housing Industry Association (HIA) and the Qld Interior Design Association (IDA) come together to recognise the skill and professionalism of our members, and their commitment to delivering high-quality kitchens, bathrooms and interior projects,” said HIA Qld Executive Director Mike Roberts.
From striking kitchens and serene bathrooms to beautifully resolved interiors, this year’s winners highlighted the creativity, craftsmanship and attention to detail shaping Queensland homes.
2026 HIA Brisbane Bathroom Design was won by Earthborne by Design for an ensuite transformed into a calm, immersive retreat. With a moody hotel-inspired palette, fluted glass screening and beautifully layered lighting, the space delivers drama, softness and refined sanctuary-like appeal.
Earthborne by Design also took out 2026 HIA Brisbane Kitchen Design, completing an impressive double win and reinforcing its standout reputation for creative, cohesive and highly polished design.
The coveted 2026 HIA Brisbane Kitchen of the Year was awarded to Kitchen Gallery and Jux Developments for a showstopping kitchen rich in contrast, warmth and refined detailing. Expressive stone, natural timber and muted finishes come together to create a confident contemporary centrepiece with enduring appeal.
LUMA Design Co. won 2026 HIA+IDA Queensland Property Styling for a renovated Woolstore apartment, transformed through a sophisticated styling approach that elevated its premium market position.
Studio James Interiors won 2026 HIA+IDA Queensland Residential Interior Decorate for decorating a home with custom furniture to transform the beachfront apartment into a sophisticated coastal retreat balancing luxury, durability and family-friendly functionality.
“Nights such as the HIA+IDA Queensland Interior Design and Brisbane Kitchen & Bathroom Awards are a wonderful occasion for this sector of the residential building industry to come together and recognise the diversity of amazing projects in market.
“Our judging panel short-list finalists and select winners from a large number of exceptionally worthy projects. Being named a winner is one of the great accolades that an industry professional can receive.”
