Practical solutions for WA WHS Laws

Regional news
Navigating the changes to WA’s new Work Health & Safety (WHS) laws can be very challenging. This is in amongst everything else you are dealing with in the current market. HIA Safety Services has developed a number of practical solutions to assist and developed specifically for the residential industry in WA.

Developed specifically for the residential industry in WA, the HIA safety solutions include:

  • A Do It Yourself (DIY) general Safety System that includes a suite of safety documents to assist you to comply with your WHS obligations.
  • SafeScan which uses QR codes on construction sites to streamline your compliance process and provide instant access to safety documents.
  • A general safety procedures sign to be used on site, detailing safety obligations for contractors and workers.

The DIY Safety System includes 100 electronic document templates for you to customise for your business and worksites.  The system comes with instructions on how to complete each component of the safety system, along with a two-hour online group training session.

The DIY Safety System includes the following components:

  • Six key WHS policies.
  • Documents to help you ensure that your business premises comply with your WHS requirements, as do the arrangements for your employees.
  • Documents to support the safety compliance requirements for contractors and monitoring their performance.
  • Site safety documents required for on-site work including a WHS Management Plan template.
  • 58 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment or tools, for example: angle grinder and truck mounted crane.

The DIY Safety System is available now for a once-off introductory price of $1,450 (including GST). Pricing for SafeScan and the General Safety Procedures sign are also available on enquiry.
