Gold Coast re-enter Stage 2 restrictions

The Queensland Government has announced that from 4pm today the Gold Coast, along with Brisbane, Logan and Moreton Bay, will re-enter stage 2 restrictions for two weeks. Townsville and Palm Island are also impacted.

The Queensland Government has announced that from 4pm today the Gold Coast, along with Brisbane, Logan and Moreton Bay, will re-enter stage 2 restrictions for two weeks. Townsville and Palm Island are also impacted.

This means that tighter restrictions will apply in relation to the number of workers allowed at workplaces including on residential building sites and in offices, and to the wearing of face masks.

Australia will build more homes despite policy changes, not because of them

“Despite recent changes to housing taxation and investment settings, HIA expects the number of homes commencing construction to continue to rise in both 2027 and 2028, albeit, slower than would have occurred,” said HIA Chief Economist, Tim Reardon.
