Yesterday HIA issued an alert informing members that despite the Government’s announcement that the lockdown in regional Victoria will be lifted from11:59pm tonight, Thursday 9 September 2021, current restrictions to the residential building industry in regional Victoria will remain in place.

Over the last two weeks there has also been confusion regarding possible wastewater surveillance and COVID testing requirements for workers on construction sites. We have finally received clarification from government that this is only required for sites of greater than 400 workers.
