Planning for Bushfire Protection 2019 and AS 3959

From March 2020, any application made for a Development Approval (DA) in New South Wales needs to comply with Planning for Bushfire Protection (PBP) 2019 and Australian Standard AS 3959:2018.

As this resource explains, any project documentation for development on bushfire-prone land that is ready to be submitted for approval will need to be amended to comply with PBP 2019 and the latest version of AS 3959 before it is submitted.

Access this resource to find out more about the impact of the changes on Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) certification and whether you will need to have your intended site reassessed according to PBP 2019.
