In Victoria, plumbing work that commenced on or after 1 May 2026 must comply with the lead-free plumbing products requirements where the product is listed in the NCC at A5G4(2) and in contact with drinking water.
The Victorian Building and Plumbing Commission has provided two alternatives for plumbers issuing compliance certificates to separate the installation of lead free and non-lead-free plumbing products for works commenced prior to 1 May 2026.
A fee is payable to the BPC for each certificate when multiple certificates are issued.
