Releasing a new building product to market

Suppliers are obliged to offer a product that is fit for purpose. That means abiding by technical standards and requirements before they can release a product to market.

Any supplier wanting to release a new building product to market must meet a set of strict criteria. These criteria include conformance with the National Construction Code and Australian Standards.

What are suppliers’ obligations? And how can they demonstrate that their new product conforms with relevant building legislation?
