This resource provides a comprehensive checklist of all the information that must be displayed on site signs by registered building companies and partnerships, registered individuals and owner-builders. It also outlines other information that may be displayed on site signage that isn’t required by legislation.
Site signage should be prominently and securely positioned, and placed in prominent positions where it can be easily viewed by members of the public. If signage isn’t correctly displayed or is incomplete, individuals can be fined up to $1000 and businesses can be fined up to $5000.
It should be noted that signage that displays a builder’s registration details is distinct from safety signage that is required as part of building work, health and safety (WHS) obligations.
Ensure your site complies with legislation requiring correct display of registration details with this practical information.
