Course overview

When we talk about workplace safety, physical hazards are usually the first thing that come to mind.  However, psychosocial risks and hazards are as equally important.  They can significantly impact the mental wellbeing and overall satisfaction of the team. Find out more by attending this 1 hour virtual course.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Find out about the key psychosocial hazards specific to the construction industry and how to recognise them in day-to-day site operations
  • Understand the legal obligations under Victorian OHS law and Safe Work Australia guidelines, including the positive duty to proactively manage psychosocial health risks.
  • Distinguish between the compliance baseline (hazard identification and risk control) and best-practice frameworks that create genuine mentally healthy workplaces.
  • Apply an early warning signs framework to spot when a team member may be struggling - before it becomes a crisis.
  • Identify three immediate, practical actions you can take on site in the week following this session
