Course overview

Regulatory requirements for the timber framing standards within the Building Code of Australia make this course a “must do” for industry personnel involved with timber framed homes or extensions.

This course will assist participants in understanding the current timber framing standards and outline the building regulations and the content of AS1684.2 (non-cyclonic regions classification), whilst guiding participants through practical exercises using real life house plans. you will need to have access to AS 1684.2-2010 Residential timber-framed construction - Non-cyclonic areas.

You will need to commit 33 hours (equivalent to 6 days or 11 evenings) of face-to-face learning time for this short course.

On successful completion of this short course you will be issued with a HIA Statement of Completion.
