Enhance your existing knowledge of industry standards relating to product, installation and application in the field of wet area waterproofing.

This workshop has been designed for those already experienced in the field of wet area waterproofing and has a key focus on safety procedures, new products and their applications.

NSW participants: Licensed builders in NSW are able to undertake their own waterproofing work; however this workshop does not meet the qualification requirements for a NSW Contractors licence in Waterproofing.

On successful completion of this short course you will be issued with a HIA Statement of Completion.

You will learn about:

  • industry standards relating to product, installation and application
  • safety procedures, new products and their application
  • awareness of the principles of waterproofing
  • the latest technology
  • hands-on installation and application skills for liquid membranes - water-based polyesters and epoxy and urethanes
  • types of wet areas
  • Occupational Health & Safety procedures
  • roles and functions of regulatory bodies
  • practical comprehension of the variable characteristics of products
  • the skills required to identify common problems and their rectification
