HIA Charitable Foundation

HIA Charitable Foundation

From 2015 the HIA Charitable Foundation has moved its focus to improving the mental health of HIA members and their families. Partnering with leading mental health organisation beyondblue in a three-year initiative, HIA aims to raise awareness and support to aid the fight against depression, anxiety and reduce the suicide rate within the building industry. As one of Australia’s first professional green building programs, HIA GreenSmart offers a professional training course and project and business accreditation for builders and designers wanting to develop new skills, and get official green credentials to help promote their services to the marketplace. More

Skilled migration

Skilled migration

HIA works with The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) to assist members by providing free information on Australia’s migration programs to address skilled labour shortages. A dedicated Industry Outreach Officer is available to discuss visa options with members by email, telephone or in person. More
