Renovation / Addition Project

With the brief to create the atmosphere of a modern loft, this addition project perfectly balances use of space in both living and in private zones. The unit itself was an empty shell with fixed plumbing/ drainage services, therefore limited where the wet areas could be, but was not hampered by imagination. In homage to the industrial loft inspiration the polished concrete flooring and custom-made cabinetry creates an air of modern sophistication. For effective zoning the customised feature glass sliding door hides the entertaining room. Meanwhile plantation shutters provide essential privacy, control of natural light and airflow. The kitchen with its black wood, stunning copper pressed metal splashback and partially hidden appliance space adds to the contemporary feel.
