Innovation, excellence, expertise - qualities of a winning residential building project and an HIA Awards judge.
If you think you have the knowledge and the passion to be part of highlighting your industry’s best, then enquire now about being an awards judge. No previous judging experience is necessary!
HIA Awards provide home builders and designers with the opportunity to receive recognition for outstanding projects, as well as showcase their work to the broader industry. Winners and finalists not only receive extensive media promotion for their business, but they can promote themselves as an industry leader.
The awards cater for entrants ranging from small family-owned businesses right up to the biggest names in the residential building industry, in areas of building construction, quality workmanship, design excellence, sustainability, renovation and innovation, and business professionalism.
Each year, HIA selects individuals with experience and knowledge in residential building practices to judge the annual entries and select the winners. This could be your opportunity to see first-hand the best the industry has to offer and lend your expertise in building techniques, design and workmanship to help us decide the best and the brightest across our industry.
Judges need to be non-biased and comfortable using online technology to view and score projects. No judging experience required, although a considerable commitment of time is necessary. The judging process will take place between July to September, and all judges must be available to attend the final judging meeting. Judges maybe asked to commit to a minimum of 3 days of judging.
Once your expression of interest has been received, HIA will contact you. Please note all judges are required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
At HIA, there are plenty of ways to get involved, give back and make a difference to the future of the building and construction industry.
