2023 HIA Australian Professional Small Builder / Renovator

HIA-CSR Australian Housing Awards

Winner: Ultimo Constructions

Western Australia's Ultimo Constructions has been named the prestigious 2023 HIA Australian Professional Small Builder / Renovator. This is the third time that Ultimo Constructions have won the HIA Australian Professional Small Builder / Renovator award.

The Professional Small Builder/Renovator category, partnered by Companion Systems, is awarded to a small home builder which demonstrates commitment to excellence in customer service, business management and leadership.

Ultimo Constructions have a reputation for offering personalised service, expert advice and a partnership approach to the building process. They have a strong focus on continuous improvement with clearly articulated goals and a passion to achieve outstanding outcomes.

The success of the business has seen it grow in 2023 to now employ 11 staff, with eight team members based in the office and three on site.

The judges applauded the business for their ability to pivot to the challenges presented over the last two years particularly the level of resilience and flexibility of the staff as they adapt to the changing landscape. HIA Managing Director Graham Wolfe said the HIA-CSR Australian Housing Awards recognise the best in Australia's residential building industry.

Our Award's program brings together members who excel in building exceptional homes, kitchens and bathrooms and run highly successful businesses.
"HIA Award winners build with exceptional workmanship; demonstrated in projects that push the boundaries in design and innovation. It is my absolute pleasure to congratulate each winner for their hard work and commitment to excellence," Mr Wolfe added.

The acknowledgement was made during the 2023 HIA-CSR Australian Housing Awards presentation on 20 May.
