Judging criteria
Projects will be judged according to:

| Quality of workmanship | 50 |
| Design effectiveness including environmental sustainability | 20 |
| Innovation | 15 |
| Visual and market appeal | 15 |
Notes:
- If the home is built for staff, friend(s), a family member or is the builder’s own home, the contract price must represent the completed project price to build an identical home (including builders margins), that would be the price offered to the home buying public.
- A home cannot be entered into more than one category of either Display Home, Custom Built Home, Project Home or Spec Home. Please select the category that best suits the project.

Entries are submitted into the regional awards based on the geographical location of each project:

Projects in the HIA-CSR Hunter Housing Awards must be located in postcodes 2250 to 2428 (excluding 2339 - 2348, 2350 - 2361, 2365, 2369 - 2372, 2379 - 2382, 2386 - 2390, 2395, 2396 - 2411, 2424, 2426, 2427).
