This home was designed and constructed with energy and water saving initiatives such as solar passive design, well designed cross ventilation for passive cooling, LED lighting, an energy efficient hot water system, and a rainwater tank connected to toilets and the washing machine. Impressively the home achieves a thermal performance rating of double the minimum requirement. Recycling of materials has paid homage to this home’s heritage feel and inviting warmth.
