Perched on the water's edge and suffering significant storm damage, this home required a major renovation. The original footprint of the dwelling was retained. But the flexible design opened up to the spectacular view or could be secured to provide a sanctuary during inclement weather. The exposed western side was managed with external translucent blinds, and the interior layout was designed to accommodate a large multi-generational family, including lift access to all levels. Materials were selected for their durability and weathering properties in coastal conditions. Spotted Gum flooring, stairs and joinery bring warmth to the interior and result in a barefoot waterfront luxury home.
