Perched on a granite ridge in Boorooma, this is a performance-driven home that fuses architectural clarity with technical precision. Designed for a low-maintenance lifestyle, it responds to site, climate, and comfort through thoughtful orientation, material selection and detailing. The split pavilion layout is optimised for zoning, with north-facing living areas, deep eaves and raked ceilings. Triple-glazed windows, high-grade insulation, and Proclima membranes deliver strong thermal control and airtightness. A Brink heat recovery system maintains consistent airflow and indoor air quality. Sustainable materials include reclaimed Blackbutt cladding, engineered timber flooring, low-VOC finishes and custom joinery. Challenging excavation was resolved with alternative footing solutions that preserved the site's natural topography. This home demonstrates the value of GreenSmart thinking, from energy efficiency to occupant wellbeing. It shows what is possible when sustainability, design and construction are perfectly aligned.
