Apprentice

2021 HIA-CSR Tasmanian Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards

Winner: Bryce Fraser - Blythe and Watchorn Builders

Bryce has always had an interest in the building industry as he is practically minded, analytical and creative. Already possessing the skills and attributes he developed from the Navy he gained his carpentry apprenticeship with Blythe and Watchorn Builders. Bryce is always happy to learn and take on new challenges. He strives to work hard to complete building tasks to a quality standard and enjoys operating in a team environment. Bryce is also conscious of the changing environment and the need to provide leadership in safety, adapt to more sustainable practices and welcome more industry diversity. On completing his apprenticeship Bryce is eager to undertake his Cert IV and become a builder. In addition to constructing award winning homes, Bryce aims to give back to the industry by assisting veterans to pursue a career in the building trades once their service has finished.
