2021 HIA-CSR Tasmanian Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards
Winner: Merlin Constructions and Rick Chew from Made to Measure
To construct their high spec home, ‘The Rock’, Merlin Constructions relied heavily on its skilled trades to deliver an exceptional result for their clients. While all the trades have contributed to the final outcome which is an outstanding custom built home, Richard Chew from Made to Measure Cabinets and Joinery, has been singled out for special mention. His cabinetry and joinery work extends throughout the house and is a clear feature of the build. Downstairs he completed the kitchenette, wardrobes, bathroom vanities and mirror cabinet and solid timber joinery units. While upstairs the lounge bookcase, master wardrobe, bed head and dressing table have been finished with true trade perfection. In addition, Richard custom-made round steel hanging rails in the laundry and it’s his bespoke work that sets the kitchen apart. This award is a well deserved accolade for a fine craftsman.
