Winner: Scott Flett Architecture Workshop
The design worked very well in mitigating the challenges of a difficult block. The curved glass in the centre atrium helped to create a capacious feel to the house as well as bringing in the natural light. Many areas including the main bedroom had various windows at specific heights to catch the sunlight through various seasons in the year highlighting the attention to design detail. The specification of Tasmanian products throughout added to the quality of finish. While the functionality and liveability of the home was carefully considered by the designer to ensure the home met the client's brief.
