Home of the Year

HIA Tasmania Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards

Winner: Delaney & Co and Clever Design

Truly a masterpiece of contemporary design and architectural excellence, this remarkable home is perfectly oriented to capture breathtaking 180-degree water views. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by a sense of precision craftsmanship and innovation that exceeds all expectations.

One of the most striking features of this home is the use of in-situ off-form white concrete walls, which soar as high as 4.2 meters, creating a sense of grandeur and sophistication throughout the interior spaces.

Expansive northerly glass facades allow natural light to flood the interior, creating a bright and airy atmosphere while also facilitating cross ventilation to keep the home comfortable year-round. These glass walls also provide uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor living spaces.

Innovative features such as the switchable glass wall in the main bathroom add a touch of luxury and convenience. With just the press of a button, the glass can transition from opaque for privacy to clear, offering a stunning view of the landscaped garden beyond.
