Winner: My Build Collective

Rubicon is a three-story masterpiece designed with modern living and comfort at the forefront. The design features gracefully curved elements that soften the structure's scale, with two curved glass windows blending form and function, allowing natural light to flood the interiors and offering stunning views. The My Build Collective team prioritised warmth and sociability, evident in every detail. The home combines open, inviting spaces with private retreats, enhanced by feature-grade Tasmanian Oak around the main staircase, which serves as both a functional element and a visual focal point, illuminated to highlight its grandeur. Clever design solutions include a light-maximising laundry area and an operable skylight in the master stairwell for improved comfort and energy efficiency. Externally, colourbond Ultra cladding and Weathered Copper Nail Strip wall cladding provide durability and a modern aesthetic. This project exemplifies innovative design and craftsmanship through effective collaboration and attention to detail.
