The Hon Anoulack Chanthivong MP

Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading, Minister for Industry and Trade, Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, Minister for Building and Minister for Corrections

After moving to Australia from Laos with his parents and brothers when he was just six, Anoulack attended Robert Townson Primary and Robert Townson High School in Raby. On the weekends and after school, Anoulack helped out at his family’s small grocery store where he learnt the value of hard work and the challenges of small business. After graduation, Anoulack completed a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Sydney and later undertook postgraduate studies in economics and public administration at the University of Sydney and the London School of Economics. Before entering Parliament, Anoulack worked as an economist for 13 years and served as a councillor and later as mayor on Campbelltown City Council.

Dr Dan Pronk

Army Doctor, SAS, Master of Business Administration

Dan’s story began in an unexpected fashion, pivoting from aspirations of a professional triathlon career to studying medicine on an army scholarship. As a army doctor, he quickly distinguished himself, completing SAS selection and serving in Special Operations. His commendable conduct during four tours of Afghanistan, including receiving a Commendation for Distinguished Service, speaks volumes about his courage, dedication, adaptability and determination.
After leaving the army, Dan sought to expand his expertise with a Master of Business Administration. He moved seamlessly into key medical leadership roles, applying his unique experiences and perspectives to roles like Deputy Director of a regional hospital and Medial Director for a state prison health service.
From leading high-performance teams to co-developing the Resilience Shield, the practical model to resilience against everyday stressors, Dan brings a unique insight into the translation of battlefield resilience to the world of business.

Matthew Whitton

Assistant Building Commissioner, NSW Department of Fair Trading

Matt has served for over 10 years in the Department of Customer Service in the real estate, property, building and construction sectors. He now leads the team of highly experienced inspectors enforcing building and construction compliance in NSW.

Meagan McCool

From Dangerous Goods, Explosives, Major Hazard Facilities, Self-insurers, High Risk Plant & Equipment and Construction at SafeWork NSW; to Builders & Tradespeople, Consumers, Tenants and Traders at NSW Fair Trading. Previously the Director of SafeWork’s Chemicals, Explosives and Safety Auditing directorate leading the NSW Government’s five-year strategy to reduce exposure to hazardous chemicals, including respirable crystalline silica; and now Director of SafeWork’s Construction Services Group Metropolitan delivering the NSW Building and Construction WHS Blueprint to 2026.
