Join us for an inspiring HIA Building Women Luncheon, where we shine a spotlight on trailblazers reshaping the landscape of the residential building and construction industry. This event brings together passionate professionals from across trades, planning, architecture, legal services, and design to celebrate achievements, share stories, and build connections.
We are honoured to welcome Sunita Kotnala, CEO of Women’s Shed Canberra and the 2025 Canberra Citizen of the Year, as our keynote speaker. Since founding the Women’s Shed in 2020, Sunita has empowered hundreds of women across the ACT through hands-on home repair and maintenance workshops, equipping them with skills in carpentry, DIY, and tool use—all while fostering mental health, confidence, and community.
Sunita’s innovative leadership has helped create a supportive space where women of all backgrounds can meet, learn, and thrive. Her work is a powerful example of how social enterprise and practical education can intersect to change lives.
