HIA Building Women aims to help build an industry where women can thrive.

The purpose is to celebrate the achievements and contributions that women have made in building and trades, planning, architecture, design, legal services, and a variety of other building professions across the residential building industry. Our guests, regardless of gender, walk away from Building Women events feeling part of a community. A community that brings together the future leaders and innovators of the construction industry as well as offering networking opportunities where you will leave feeling uplifted and inspired.

Join us for lunch to celebrate local powerful women. Guest speakers include Rebecca Peel – Discovery Hub Manager at Transgrid and Brooke O’Rourke – Senior Design Consultant at Harrison Joinery.

Speaker

Brooke O'Rourke

Senior Design Consultant, Harrison’s Joinery

Brooke is a Senior Design Consultant at Harrison’s Joinery, a family-owned business founded by her father, Geoff Harrison, which has thrived for over 40 years. With seven years of industry experience, she specializes in design, building, and renovations. Holding a certificate in Interior Design & Decorating, Brooke collaborates with clients and builders to craft high-quality, custom joinery designs for both new and existing residential homes across the Riverina region. She finds great fulfillment in working closely with clients, seeing their visions come to life, and exploring innovative materials and finishes. Outside of work, Brooke enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and loved ones.
