HIA in Townsville are holding our annual Building Women function for Townsville. HIA Building Women introduces a focus on supporting women in the residential building industry by creating opportunities to enter the industry, recognising the needs of women already working in the industry and acknowledging the contribution of women to the industry.
The luncheon provides the opportunity for members and guests to network with other women and men in the building industry and the community. You will hear from some inspiring speakers at HIA’s Building Women lunch.

Marrisa Wise
Marissa Wise is currently the Chief Infrastructure Officer for the Port of Townsville. On top of that she has a couple of side hustles and moonlights as a basketball coach.
Marissa previously working for more than 20 years at the Department of Transport and Main Roads and has spent time with the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, the Department of Child Safety Youth and Women as well as Department of Housing and Public Works. A civil engineer by trade, Marissa enjoys engaging with Port staff and the Port community to plan for the future and deliver today.
