Since coming from country WA and then boarding school in Perth, Matt has been involved with the building industry for the past 20 years. Starting with a pre apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery and working his way through to having his own company FIVE HOMES, Matt has seen the ever-changing landscape of our industry. Being a hands-on type of guy, he loves to be heavily involved with any build he is a part of. Sport has been a big part of Matt’s life, which has helped shape his leadership skills and bring them into his workplace. In 2019 Matt was a contestant on the renovation show The Block. Since returning Matt has completed his Diploma in Building and Construction with the HIA and is now on route to becoming a Building Contractor basing his work around renovations. Time away from building Matt is an ambassador for the youth mental health charity Zero2Hero in which he has trekked the cape 2 cape to raise vital funds for mental health. You can also hear Matt on 6PR on the weekends discussing all things building and renovating.
