The Future Proof Your Business seminars are designed to support our members by providing up to date information and showcasing the latest products and services as well as earn half of your yearly CPD points!

The seminars will feature a program that consists of helpful business tips and tricks to ensure that our members stay ahead of the competition. 

Members will have the opportunity to gain the latest know-how on building techniques, innovations, trends and business management topics that are relevant to their business and more importantly, discover a range of new products and services from our partners.

In this session, you will hear from the following experts:

  • Josh Burg, Assistant Director – Building NSW, Housing Industry Association will discuss how the National Construction Code 2022 will be adopting the updated waterproofing standard AS 3740:2021. New acceptable construction practices are also included within the NCC. Hear about the key changes you need to know.
  • Meredith Frohreich, HIA Senior Workplace Advisor, will provide a snapshot of some key messages and reminders to take away and apply to your past, present and future building projects, with a focus on contract selection and preparation, contract administration, and defects and warranty complaints post completion. 
  • Don Doolan, Director, First Class Accounts – Asquith and The NOT so silent Business Partner, will discuss important information relating to Business and the bookkeeping systems to assist with accurate and efficient cost management. Key topics covered: Business and Bookkeeping cost management tips, remove the reliance on printing bills and manually approving them, reduce the risk if overpaying and under claiming your job costs, keep your costs always up to date so you can calculate your WIP, remove the business focus on paying bills so you can focus on sales and job throughput, and plenty more. 
  • George Hawwa, Growth Director, Attention Experts will explain how to measure your brand’s impact across the end-to-end customer journey on the best performing social media platforms. This session will explore the fundamental changes occurring on Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn and understand how to adapt, what are the most important performance metrics to accurately measure and determine value for businesses in the long term,  what is the critical marketing formula for successful social media campaigns in 2022, what are the current industry benchmarks for social media best practice, how to tackle B2B vs B2C marketing strategy on social, and develop an understanding of the current landscape of social media and learn data-driven strategies to drive the most significant growth and impact.
