{{ tag.label }} {{ tag.label }} $vuetify.icons.faTimes
A series of workshops or seminars that offer an in-depth look at industry and policy changes that could impact on your business and how HIA can help you.

Event detail

The 6-to-7-star Design Training will provide information on how to design an affordable energy-efficient home, with a whole-of-home approach, including:

  • The bigger picture - Zero net carbon economy by 2050 and the trajectory for low energy buildings
  • The costs and benefits of building a 7-star home with a Whole-of-Home assessment
  • Passive solar design principles and the importance of orientation
  • Thermal bridges and how to avoid them in designs
  • Glazing types, costs, and benefits
  • Energy efficiency ratings for appliances, what they mean and what the benefits and costs are

These design sessions are appropriate for building designers, energy assessors and builders who work closely with homeowners and their designers throughout the design and construction process.

ALSO: if you'd like an in-depth look at what's coming for builders in the NCC 2022 update, please consider registering for our Trade Night event.
