Simon Croft, Executive Director - Building Policy, HIA will provide an overview of the NCC 2022 proposed energy efficiency and condensation management changes. With the BASIX energy efficiency provisions increasing in stringency, buildings being more tightly sealed with less ability to breathe, condensation has also become a real concern in all climates.
These changes will have significant impacts on:house and apartment designs, acceptable materials and required material and construction changes for wall, roof and floor construction and on project costs.
