The Design and Building Practitioners legislation has applied to Class 2 multi-residential buildings since July 2021, and that doesn’t just mean apartments, but also certain kinds of low-rise development – including some types of townhouse or granny flat!
The legislation will also soon expand to Class 3 and Class 9c buildings, which will be captured from July 2023.
