Working out whether a complaint about your work is a defect or not, is not always an easy task.
Liability to return to site and fix the problem requires an investigation into the issue and ask the questions: Is it my work? Why is the problem happening? Is it within the warranty periods at law?
This session will explore the statutory warranties that builders owe (as well as the 10-year statutory duty of care), what is a major defect, and tips and guidance on responding to homeowner complaints during and after a job.
