Join us online as our experienced Energy Assessor, Builder, HIA Trainer and HIA NSW Regional Technical Committee Chair Brad Hoad explains some of the key lessons from working to deliver BASIX 7-star homes since October 2023.

The requirement to meet a minimum 7-star thermal comfort rating and increased energy consumption stringencies has resulted in significant design and material selection changes for all new homes and multi-unit dwellings. Brad will speak of the challenges with designing to the new higher standard, and the elements you will need to consider to ensure that your clients can meet the BASIX targets in a cost-effective manner.

Attendees will also gain an overview of Brad’s learnings building certified Passivhaus buildings in Australia.
