This one day workshop is a must attend event for anyone in the residential building industry. The event provides attendees the opportunity to receive updates from industry experts across a wide variety of topics. Attendees will be guided through strategies and receive the latest information on how to best manage both the building and operations of their business in these challenging times for the industry. The workshop will cover a range of presentations including technical, legal, business management, builders coaching, workers compensation and government updates. All attendees will receive 6 CPD points.

The building industry are experiencing substantial amendments of regulatory change at present this includes:

  • significant upcoming National Construction Code (NCC) changes
  • further BASIX energy efficiency changes
  • building reforms both nationally and state level
  • future standards and planning considerations
  • and more proposals on the horizon

In this session you will hear about what is happening at a federal and state level and discuss how you can best prepare for the future of the housing industry and stay ahead of the pack on these changes. The session will also discuss and debate whether some of the reforms have gone too far and whether the industry is facing a regulatory reform fatigue.
