HIA Tradepass is a simple, easy-to-use online system that can help you manage your contractors’ business information and documentation. It gives you peace of mind knowing that all your contractors’ business information and registration is up-to-date and has been verified.

HIA Tradepass for Builders
How does HIA Tradepass work?
HIA Tradepass can help you manage your contractors' documents in one place. Here's the step-by-step process:
- Subscribe and create a Tradepass account for your business.
- Access your Principal Contractor Dashboard to invite your contractors to register with HIA Tradepass and set up their business profile.
- Once your contractors upload their details and documents, our team will review and verify their compliance.
- Once a contractor is HIA Tradepass verified, you will be notified and be able access to their profile and documents on your business dashboard.
- Automatic renewal reminders will be sent to the contractors you link to when their documents reach their expiry dates, helping to facilitate the renewal process before they expire and keeping your business protected. You also receive reminders, giving you a way to know when your contractors fall behind.
That’s it! Contractor compliance status will be visible from your Principal Contractor Dashboard. No hardcopy paperwork, no fuss.
HIA Tradepass has the capacity to collect and verify the following documents and information:
- ABN and GST registration
- required trade licences/registrations
- high risk work licences
- construction induction cards
- Insurance Certificates of Currency such as:
- public liability
- workers compensation
- professional indemnity
- personal accident and sickness/income protection
- a summary of the business’ safety practices
- plus a range of other regulatory requirements.
Annual subscription fees
There are annual subscription fees for both access to the system and supporting verification services. Builders pay an annual subscription fee to set up and maintain your business dashboard, plus an annual fee for each trade contractor you invite to join the platform.
