We would have scored at least 80% of new business through social media for the first three or four years. No other plastering company was doing it, or doing it well.Kim & Chris Allen, Made to Build podcast
Kim Allen is CEO of CRA Construction, a Queensland-based plastering business she runs with husband Chris. Starting out behind the scenes, Kim stepped into leadership and helped transform CRA’s culture. She hired full-time staff (rather than contractors) and introduced wellbeing initiatives. She is doubling the business year on year. She also launched "Confidence in Construction" to support women in trades and educate men on being better allies. Chris, a former mature-age apprentice, leads by example on-site and is all about building a more inclusive industry.
