By far, two things sell a home design – kitchens and bathrooms. If a home was a luxury liner, then they are the engine room, the bar, the restaurant and the day spa, all in one. When the functionality and features all come together the results are spectacular.
But as anyone knows in the current supply chain climate, getting from contract to completion is fraught with challenges. You and your clients both want the smoothest transition, trade coordination, selection process, and when needed, the ability to make changes without creating mayhem.
Whether it be bulk or custom builds, one factor that has always been a timing and coordination challenge is tapware, and the need to install the in-wall body and handles at the same time. To combat this issue, premier fixtures suppliers ABI Interiors have created their Infiniti Technology to separate the two.
ABI’s Infiniti Technology is a whole new approach to tapware, offering unprecedented convenience, adaptability and flexibility. Every Infiniti Technology product is sold in two parts: an In-Wall Kit, and a Handle Kit. Designed to be installed in two stages, the in-wall body and handle components are interchangeable across the Infiniti Technology.
What does this mean for builders? For starters, it improves your workflow by allowing you to continue moving ahead with your build while your clients deliberate over their tapware selections. The In-Wall Kit is installed first, during rough-in. Trades can keep moving, working on waterproofing, plastering and tiling, then, once your clients have chosen their perfect look from the Infiniti Technology, the Handle Kit is installed at fit-off.
‘This technology runs across our entire mixer range and all of our finishes,’ says ABI Interiors Co-Founder Luli Farrell. ‘Builders love it because they can give their clients more time to make their selections without impacting timelines. Homeowners love it because choosing tapware isn’t always easy, and with Infiniti they can see their finished bathroom or kitchen before deciding on the ideal style and finish – rather than having to visualise it all beforehand.’
The In-Wall and Handle kits can be ordered separately or together. ‘To expedite their build, most builders will order the In-Wall Kit first, so they can get rough in-completed,’ says Luli. ‘The Handle Kit doesn’t need to be ordered or installed until the project is ready for fit-off.’
Infiniti Technology is available in three functionalities to suit different rooms, applications and client preferences: Progressive Mixers, Assembly Taps, and Minimal Mixers. You’ll be supplied with an In-Wall Body for Progressive and Minimal Mixers, or Spindles/Breech for Assembly Taps.
The Handle Kit style can be decided upon and ordered at any point during the build process. Infiniti is a sleek, contemporary technology that makes a striking addition to any bathroom space. Your clients can choose from five refined styles, all designed in-house at ABI Interiors: Barre, Milani, Elysian, Cross and Kingsley. Each style is available in a selection of signature finishes for endless design flexibility.
The entire Infiniti Technology can be selected and purchased online at www.abiinteriors.com.au, and ABI’s customer service teams are easily contactable to answer all your questions regarding product choice, installation, and post-sales support. ‘Ultimately, with Infiniti, our aim is to make the tap selections and install process convenient and easy for the builder, while also being an exciting and inspirational journey for their clients.’
Traditionally, any changes and variations that happen once a building or renovation project is underway will lead to added delays, expense and stress. However, Infiniti’s revolutionary two-stage installation process means that changes can be managed without any associated fuss or hold-ups. Because most handles are compatible with the in-wall component, if the project scope alters or clients change their mind about their preferred tapware, it won’t impact the cost or timelines.
And, once their new bathroom build is completed, your clients can continue to easily change their minds between different Infiniti Technology styles and finishes without compromising waterproofing or tiling.
‘Essentially, Infiniti future-proofs renovations,’ Luli says. ‘Homeowners can revamp their bathroom any time by simply swapping out their universal tapware. With Infiniti, tapware choice is no longer a permanent decision; it’s something homeowners can have fun and be creative with.’
NSW-based builder and founding director of Futureflip, Neil Hipwell, regularly specifies Infiniti due to its convenience and reliability. Neil designs and builds custom family homes that strike the perfect balance between budget, luxury and lifestyle, and he says ABI Interiors products help him achieve the brief every time. ‘We’ll definitely continue to use ABI throughout all of our upcoming projects. It’s so easy for our design team, and our clients, to basically have a one-stop shop for all the personal choice items. They can just go on the website, select it all, it gets delivered to our factory, it’s seamless, and they’ve got that great service as well.’
ABI Interiors is a young, family-owned business based on the Gold Coast. Specialising in designer kitchen and bathroomware, the company was established to bridge the gap between luxury and affordability. With its fresh approach and a unique ability to tap into the needs of both builders and end-users, ABI Interiors has enjoyed strong growth over the past couple of years.
The company’s current product range extends from tapware and vanities through to mirrors and floor wastes: each item designed by in-house experts with an extraordinary attention to detail and a continuous eye for innovation. ‘We take every day essential items and turn them into exceptional pieces,’ Luli says.
All ABI Interiors products are engineered to meet stringent quality standards and are backed by extended warranties, so you can specify them with complete peace of mind. ‘We believe any product is only as good as its weakest part. We only select the highest quality materials and components and maintain a high degree of control over our manufacturing process.’
Infiniti is a perfect example of ABI Interiors’ commitment to pushing boundaries and creating products to meet the changing demands of industry and the consumer. ‘Infiniti Technology was created to make building and renovating easier,’ Luli says. ‘That has been our goal from the very beginning. With Infiniti, we are simply taking care of our customers by solving problems that extend beyond beautiful design.’
