HIA Hunter Executive Director Craig Jennion said, “whether you are planning to renovate or build, a first home buyer, investor or someone looking for inspiration, attending the show will ensure you see the very best of the home, lifestyle and building sector.
“Come and chat to the faces behind the businesses and get expert advice from local businesses including local builders, manufacturers, suppliers and tradespeople!
“Being held Saturday 7 September, the HIA Building & Renovation Show brings together a sensational group of exhibitors to showcase the latest trends in renovation, building, home improvements and outdoor living and best of all it’s free to enter” he said.
All attendees will have the opportunity to go into the draw to win the major prize on the day, a $20,000 brand new pool package courtesy of Narellan Pools.
For visitors seeking expert advice, the HIA Ask an Expert areas will feature free consultations with leading HIA members. Visitors simply need to arrive and make an appointment at the Show, but don’t forget to bring your plans, a notepad and your ideas.
The event will also include live seminars and demonstrations by centre exhibitors, all day colour consultations compliments of Bristol and pop-up lifestyle markets. You can also meet the HIA team at the ‘HIA You’re in Good Hands Stand’, with information about apprenticeship pathways, industry training and HIA Membership benefits available.
Another recently added feature in the centre is the Hunter Alfresco Living display, which showcases for visitors the latest products and trends designed specifically for outdoor living.
The Show has always been a family-friendly event, and this Show will be no different with lots of free children’s entertainment including games, face painting, a roving magician and a special guest appearance from Bob the Builder. All your food and beverage needs will be covered with a barbecue for charity, a fresh coffee van and musician onsite.
Mr Jennion said, “with the diversity of exhibitors and experts available, attendees will be able to compare an enormous range of products and services all under the one roof.
“If you’re thinking of starting a project or are in the middle of one and need advice on how to proceed, the HIA Home Inspirations centre continues to be the premier destination for Hunter renovators, new home buyers and trade”, Mr Jennion concluded.

“HIA estimates that Australia needed to build more than 250,000 homes last year just to keep pace with demand growth and begin reducing the housing shortage. Instead, we commenced construction of just 196,000 homes. That gap is why housing affordability continues to deteriorate," stated Tim Reardon, HIA's Chief Economist.
Victoria's leading industry groups have united to demand the Allan Government immediately withdraw its damaging Work from Home Bill, warning it will further undermine investment and economic growth in the state.
The Housing Industry Association (HIA) has told a Senate Inquiry that the Federal Government’s proposed tax changes will result in 35,000 fewer homes, despite being promoted as a solution to Australia’s housing affordability crisis.
HIA welcomes the Cook Government’s announcement to reduce unnecessary red tape for lower-risk building work—an outcome strongly advocated for by industry.
