“It was great to see so many entrants and partners networking and celebrating with staff and family at ICC on Saturday night. A true testament to the resilience and perseverance of the people in our industry” said David Bare, Executive Director NSW.
The coveted 2023 HIA-CSR NSW Home of the Year award went to Chateau Architects + Builders for their build which the judges described as; ‘dynamic, grand, and vibrant’. The same home also took out the Custom Built Home of the Year category.
Kitchen of the Year was again taken out by Studio Minosa and Panache Kitchens and Bathroom of the Year by Intacon Australia.
The HIA NSW Roger Pysden Apprentice of the Year went to Sarah Starbuck. " Sarah has demonstrated unwavering commitment to her carpentry course, workplace skills and learning. Her hunger to learn and give everything a go has earned her the respect of her peers and mentor," said Mr Bare.
Another important category is the NSW Small Business Management award which went to The Perfect Space – Design + Build.
Firstyle Homes, Masterton Homes, Wisdom Homes, Eden Brae Homes, IMSU Homes, and Clarendon Homes Shoalhaven all picked up awards in the highly contested display homes categories with Horizon Homes taking out Display Home of the Year.
Eden Brae Homes won the Professional Major Builder award with Better Built Homes taking out Professional Medium Builder. Blue Eco Homes won the Professional Small Builder award for the fourth year in a row.
Eden Brae Homes also took out the Work Health and Safety award. A good reminder that this October is Safe Work Month, and it's the perfect opportunity for the industry to reflect, regroup, and have a focus on site in day-to-day discussions on workplace safety.
Bronxx took out Apartment Complex of the Year. The Renovation / Addition Project of the year was awarded to Sydney Beach Homes and Townhouse / Villa of the Year went to Grand Pacific Homes.
“Congratulations to all this year’s winners and finalists for outstanding achievements in workmanship, innovation and design. The winners of major categories can look forward to progressing to HIA’s national awards next year and I wish them every success,” concluded Mr Bare.
