The result was announced in front of an audience of over 1,300 of South Australia’s leading residential builders, designers, and manufacturers at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Saturday, 9 November 2024.

2024 HIA South Australian Kitchen of the Year
The 2024 HIA South Australian Kitchen of the Year went to Build Theory, partnered by Caesarstone. The winning kitchen exudes warmth and comfort, expertly combining natural materials to create a space that feels both welcoming and sophisticated.
Featuring a contemporary yet timeless design, the kitchen boasts an integrated sink, innovative lighting, and an island that serves as the heart of the space. With a functional back bench leading to a hidden butler's pantry behind a sliding stainless steel screen, this kitchen sets a new standard in design and functionality.
2024 HIA South Australian Bathroom of the Year
Unique Space took home the 2024 HIA South Australian Bathroom of the Year, partnered by Routleys Bathroom Kitchen Laundry. Inspired by Japanese aesthetics, the bathroom is a masterclass in tranquillity and elegance, blending earthy tones with a furniture-inspired vanity and soft curves. Brick and tile elements add depth and texture, resulting in a space that is as inviting as it is visually stunning. The bathroom demonstrates the beauty of simplicity, setting a new benchmark for bathrooms in South Australia.
Several individual and business winners were also recognised on the night.
Samuel Carslake was awarded the 2024 HIA South Australian Apprentice of the Year, partnered by Stratco, while Aileen Shannon of Anangu Building Services was named the 2024 HIA South Australian Building Woman of the Year, partnered by Cosentino. Aileen stood out with her passion for creating culturally appropriate housing, developing training opportunities, and supporting community initiatives. Her dedication to both her business and the communities she serves has made her a natural leader and role model in the industry.
The 2024 HIA Professional Builder awards also recognised outstanding achievements amongst South Australian builders:
- HIA Professional Small Builder/Renovator: The Building Company SA (Partnered by HIA Insurance Services)
- HIA Professional Medium Builder/Renovator: Country Living Homes (Partnered by Lysaght)
- HIA Professional Major Builder: Weeks Homes (Partnered by Big River Trade Centre)
