The result was announced in front of an audience of NSW leading residential builders, designers and manufacturers at the International Convention Centre, Sydney.
The coveted 2025 HIA NSW Home of the Year, partnered by Next Level Elevators, went to Futureflip for their build, The Solstice, which judges described as a striking blend of luxury, innovation and liveability.
Set high above Seven Mile Beach and Berry’s Bay on the South Coast, this luxurious forever home was designed for a family seeking uncompromised coastal living. Blending refined elegance with functional comfort, The Solstice offers a sanctuary for everyday family life and sophisticated entertaining. Its design captures panoramic ocean views while addressing environmental responsiveness and cutting-edge innovation, earning high praise from the judges.
HIA NSW Executive Director Brad Armitage said, “This is a remarkable example of the exceptional quality and workmanship available in NSW and is a great testament to Futureflip.”
HIA NSW Kitchen of the Year was awarded to HELICONIA & Stratti Building Group for an architecturally designed kitchen in Sydney’s Northern Beaches that captures contemporary coastal living. The space features an eight-metre-high wave-inspired ceiling and a warm timber island bench topped with Quartzite stone, showcasing minimalist design and exceptional craftsmanship.
Drawing inspiration from high-end hotel living, HIA NSW Bathroom of the Year was awarded to Bentino for a project that seamlessly blends luxury and comfort. From the striking bevelled skylight to the refined finishes throughout, every detail reflects sophistication and considered design.
The 2025 HIA NSW Roger Pysden Apprentice of the Year award went to Sarah Starbuck, from Wright Building & Carpentry. "Sarah is recognised as one of the most professional and motivated apprentices. Her positive, can-do approach to every challenge is truly inspirational. With experience across all aspects of carpentry, Sarah is quickly establishing herself as one of the industry’s standout leaders,” said Mr Armitage.
Eden Brae Homes, MOJO Homes, Aria Homes (NSW), Montgomery Homes, Clarendon Homes all picked up awards in the highly contested display homes categories with Nuhaven Homes taking out the HIA NSW Display Home of the Year.
Eden Brae Homes won the HIA NSW Professional Major Builder award with Better Built Homes taking out HIA NSW Professional Medium Builder/Renovator and Blue Eco Homes winning the HIA NSW Professional Small Builder/Renovator award. Eden Brae Homes also took out the HIA NSW Work Health and Safety award.
Reform Projects won HIA NSW Apartment Complex of the Year. The HIA NSW Renovation/Addition Project of the Year was awarded to Bradstreet Building Services, HIA NSW Townhouse of the Year went to Micrah Projects.
The public had their say this year with the introduction of the HIA NSW People’s Choice Home, awarded to Lime Building Group. Designed to bask in the northern sunshine, this custom home blends beautifully with the Australian landscape. Light-filled spaces, a cosy fireplace, a sparkling pool, and eco-friendly features combine to create a serene, sophisticated retreat.
