Detached home approvals surge over 37 per cent in Tasmania
New figures released today by the Australian Bureau of Statistics show detached house approvals in Tasmania rose 37.8 per cent in the month of July 2026, capping the strongest run of approvals activity the state has seen in years.
New Form 26 and inspection record procedures for building surveyors
The Victorian government has introduced new rules for building surveyors including a new Form 26 and the requirement to lodge inspection records with councils. These new rules commence today - 1 September 2026.
