Changes to workplace safety requirements for Victoria
The Victorian Government has introduced new workplace safety requirements that make amendments to the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 and other Acts.
The amendments, which took effect in March 2022, include changes relating to issuing of prohibition notices and directions by Worksafe inspectors, notifiable incidents and workers compensation for eligible diseases.
The resource also outlines what the changes mean for HIA members. These changes follow a number of other workplace safety changes over the last few years in Victoria. HIA members are encouraged to educate themselves about the changes and what they mean for their businesses.
