End of Transitional Housing Code
February 13, 2019
In June 2017 the Department of Planning and Environment released the new simplified Housing Code. The changes started on Friday July 2017.
A transitional period of two years was implemented allowing applicants to choose to have their project approved as complying development under either the new simplified Housing Code or the previous General Housing Code (currently known as the transitional housing code). This transitional period ends on 14 July 2019. After this, only the simplified Housing Code will apply.
Further information on complying development can be viewed on the department’s website.
