Judging criteria

Projects will be judged according to:

Criteria Points
Quality of workmanship 50
Design effectiveness of the development and dwellings including environmental sustainability 20
Innovation 15
Visual and market appeal 15

Notes:

  1. An eligible project includes any multiple dwelling development where two or more dwellings were completed as one project by the one builder. This would include developments known as dual occupancy, villas (one storey), townhouses (2-3 storeys), terrace housing or the like, whether attached or detached.
  2. These projects are generally classified as Class 1a buildings under the Building Code of Australia. Eligible projects may also be Class 2 buildings due solely to the inclusion of a shared underground car parking area.
  3. Entrants in this category are eligible to enter an individual dwelling in the Townhouse/Villa of the Year category.

Entries are submitted into the regional awards based on the geographical location of each project:
