Judging criteria
Projects will be judged according to:

| Quality of workmanship | 50 |
| Design effectiveness including environmental sustainability | 20 |
| Innovation | 15 |
| Visual and market appeal | 15 |
Notes:
- An eligible project includes any individual dwelling within a multiple dwelling development where two or more dwellings were completed as one project by the one builder. This would include developments known as dual occupancy, villas (one storey), townhouses (2-3 storeys), terrace housing or the like, whether attached or detached.
- These projects are generally classified as Class 1a buildings under the Building Code of Australia. Eligible projects may also be Class 2 buildings due solely to the inclusion of an underground car parking area.
