Set high above the coastline, this three-storey home was designed as a luxurious forever home that balances panoramic ocean views with serious engineering. Built into a steep, rock shelf site, the block was cut and retained to create a level platform, allowing the house to sit partially embedded while managing moisture and drainage risks. Inside, expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing draws the ocean deep into the plan, while a sculptural staircase and fully glazed rooftop skybox form a striking vertical link between levels. Living spaces are open yet grounded, designed for both large-scale entertaining and quiet retreat. Beneath it all, a sophisticated geothermal system fed by six 100-metre boreholes delivers efficient heating and cooling to the home, pool and spa, supported by hydronic floors, smart controls and remote monitoring.
